A point, so second place secured. Any injuries? We finish at home to Watford next weekend, then six days to the FA Cup final.

Let's hope we get our heads ready for that one.

How can a team with Martial, Pogba, Herrera, and Sanchez in it be so boring to watch?

Watching us play at times it does make me wonder how the hell we’ve finished 2nd place. We were an exciting team in the opening months of the season, solid defensively and free scoring, that team would have challenged City’s title attack and had a very very good chance in Europe. We seem to have moulded into one of Mourinhos pragmatist teams since Christmas and the attack has been totally drained out of us. The West Ham game was absolutely typical, we looked like a team playing for a draw, the point we needed to secure second place.
There was that view or.. we’ve used the last couple of games to try out new systems that could help us overcome Chelsea in the final which is great that we have that luxury and foresight but leaves me to wonder where we would have been had that early season United been allowed to flourish.

There's not a chance in hell that you were getting anywhere close to 100 points this season. No team was and I don't really think any team in the league other than City is close to having the potential to do so. You don't have any consistent forwards. Lukaku has had a good first season, but it's going to be hard to win a league with him being your top scorer with 16 goals. Martial is class and other than De Gea, he'd be the player I would steal from you lot, but he's young and still inconsistent. I expected Sanchez to be the consistent threat for you, but so far he's not really torn it up. Lingard is a great squaddie and the rest aren't worth writing about.

Guardiola has City so far ahead of the rest of the pack. They've conceded less goals and scored almost 40 more ffs. In what world were you ever getting near them? Their squad is ridiculously good. After ten games played they already had a five point lead.

This reads like a post shitting on United and it is, but the same can be applied to any other team that thought they could be challengers, just adjust the weaknesses from attack to whatever. When a team is going to hit 100 points, you just have to stand back and applaud and say "next season."

City have played without an ounce of pressure since Christmas. Would you expect them to perform exactly the same under pressure or would you imagine there would be a dip every now and then. Put City under any sort of pressure and they’re as liable to fold as any other team is.
No way on earth City have such a stunning second half to the season if one or two of the chasing pack could have sorted their shit out.
United were in touch until we fluffed our lines in December and City managed some results that they didn’t deserve either through referees decision or luck going against their opponents.
From 12 points ahead at that moment there was no catching them and they knew it. The momentum just built and built until they became unstoppable... but if you look how they rolled over in the CL unstoppable was just a myth.

You just said before though that it was the second half of the season that cost you. If the first half of the season was your limit, there was never any way you were catching City.

City have actually dipped in form since Christmas, it was their first 19 games that won them the league because they were close to perfect. Were they not under pressure in those games?

Ref decisions are swings and roundabouts. You're more likely to get soft penalties when you play the type of football they do.

They didn't show up at Anfield in the Champions League and that was what cost them, it wasn't a lack of quality in their side. No surprise there, that's the place they struggle the most in the world. Barcelona failed to show up in Rome too, but they're still a top side in world football.

The pressure always comes in the second half of the season. That’s when titles are won and lost, you don’t win a title in November you know. Your logic is so fucking scouse, City had a good start, so did United, we were top of the pile in the early exchanges. Had City had a decent challenge throughout the Christmas period and any sort of challenge had appeared after (from any of the chasing pack) then there’s no fucking chance they have the season they’ve just had. Pressure causes slips and sometimes being in front is harder than coming from behind...(think back a season or so)...
City had absolutely no pressure from anywhere at the business end of the season... literally no pressure at all since January. It’s not even a difficult logic to comprehend but I’m not that surprised you don’t get it.

City basically had the title wrapped up in November. There were a few United fans who were kidding themselves into thinking they could be caught, but everyone else knew it was done.

You weren't even close to being top of the pile. City were top of the pile by themselves, they were ahead of everyone.

City had no pressure on because they absolutely blitzed the league in the first half. There is no way any team could match that so they were never going to have pressure in the second half of the season.

I'm finished discussing this anyway, you refuse to give anyone other than United credit so it's not worth it.
